We stayed in the Aurora cottage. It is absolutely adorable. Super clean, well stocked with snacks and various beverages. Ice bucket was full upon arrival. The place is so charming with antiques and gorgeous wallpapers. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. There is not one detail or thoughtful touch that was missing. I loved it and would stay here again without a doubt.

The booking process with the Menagerie was effortless, extremely easy no long questionare very simple. The representative was very helpful and calm through the process. She answered all my questions completely and also provided great information about the Menagerie. Service after the sale was excellent. After the second call for information on the location and parking She was very helpful calm and easy to get us to the location. She was never upset about us having to call her and offered to stay on the line until we arrived at the house. A very big Thank You, your service reflects positively as well as the house. The house was extremely well maintained and furnished. A very homey elegant hotel. Thanks for everything and your property is now on our list to return when we venture your way. Thanks again and see you soon. Have a great day.

We absolutely loved this property. We were in town for some wedding planning. We stayed in the two bedroom Aurora Bungalow. The decor is so adorable, unique, eclectic and charming. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and pillows were high end. All the furnishings, rugs, pillows, and art were so eye catching. We wanted to take it all home with us, haha. There were thoughtful touches everywhere! Coffee bar, a few drinks in the fridge, a little cocktail bar set up, snacks and cozy robes. It was a bit cold when we were there but there are two inviting outdoor spaces to sit and relax and also the pool and fireplace cabana across the way. Location was superb, just a few blocks to Main Street. If the opportunity comes again we will be back to stay here again. The staff and communication was excellent from the first time I spoke with Tawni when making the reservation, all the way to check out. Self check in was easy. We loved our stay.

A very romantic place that's off of the main strip so it's quiet but still close enough to walk to the strip and enjoy all the shops and restaurants. Everything is easy to do and the room is very nice with a really nice bathroom and sleeping quarters.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Menagerie. The location is ideal, close enough to downtown Fredericksburg to walk and enjoy everything, yet tucked away enough to feel like a quiet retreat. It strikes the perfect balance between convenience and escape. The room itself was beautifully designed with bold, thoughtful details that made it feel special and elevated. You can tell a lot of care went into the finishes, layout, and overall guest experience. Communication throughout the booking and stay was seamless and professional, which made everything feel polished from start to finish. This is a fantastic spot for couples or small families who want to be near the action but still enjoy a peaceful place to unwind at night. Two minor notes (not impacting our 5-star rating): the parking lot is not paved, so dirt will track in when rolling luggage in and out or on shoes, and in our first-floor unit we could hear some footsteps from the guests above. Neither issue diminished our overall experience. We would absolutely stay here again.

BEST experience with Menagerie! Don’t know if I’ll ever stay elsewhere after this place. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic, super unique place close to everything Fredricksberg offers, this is your place! We stayed in the Temptress suite for 2 nights and absolutely loved everything about it. Check in was super easy, there were fun surprises (cocktails, snacks, chocolate), we loved the hot tub and pool after an afternoon of wine tasting, and the room itself exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend this spot and have already sent it to numerous friends who also visit the area often!

My Husband and I stayed in the Esperanza room for a 3 day weekend to relax before my maternity leave ended. It was nice to have an adult only place to stay. We loved how the room was updated and designed. It's a large space even with a king bed. They provided snackd when we arrived and even filled the ice bucket. The bathroom was large with lots of towels to use after a shower or swimming in the pool. The only thing I didn't love was the loud AC unit. I had a little trouble sleeping because it made a big noise turning off and on. It's loud running in general, too. The pool area was really nice. We swam twice and used the hot tub. There is lots of furniture to lounge and sit around the pool. We didn't try to walk to Main Street because it's so hot in the summer, but it looks like you could walk there pretty easily. We chose to drive because we were already going to be doing a lot of walking in town through the shops. We would like to stay here again.

The Menagerie is absolutely stunning! We stayed in the Temptress suite and I'll never stay anywhere else in Fredericksburg. I love the maximalist decor, every unique detail is thoughtfully curated. The room also smells amazing and the ambiance feels warm, luxurious, and inviting. The room was huge and the bathroom was stunning! Complimentary snacks and drinks were also a nice bonus. The location is just a short walk from Main Street but still peaceful and private. We walked there during the day and it was easy to get a pedicab to take us back after dinner. You can tell there was thought and love put into every detail of The Menagerie to make your stay perfect.
